Packaging for Wine & Spirits Brands
Label precision, anti-counterfeit finishes and gifting formats — the sector our factory has served longest, from Chinese baijiu houses to export wine brands.

- Export Packing
Overview
A bottle needs more packaging components than almost any other product. The front and back labels, usually a neck label, often a seal, a presentation box for the gift tier, a carrier for the multipack, a bag for retail, and an export case that has to survive a container. Most brands buy those from four suppliers and spend the year reconciling colour between them.
This is the sector our factory has served longest. Our label line was built serving liquor brands, and our portfolio is largely spirits work — Guoyuan and Jinshiyuan gift sets, Yanghe presentation boxes, Sidus wine labels. That history is why our defaults in this category are already the right ones: wet-strength stocks quoted before you ask, holographic positioning treated as routine, festival timelines understood.
Two things make wine and spirits genuinely harder than they look. The first is service conditions — a bottle sweats in a chiller and sits in an ice bucket, and a label that was never specified for that will lift at the edges. The second is seasonality: mooncake and Mid-Autumn programmes, Spring Festival editions and Christmas gifting all land on immovable dates, so lead time is a design constraint, not an afterthought.
What we make for this sector
- Wine & Spirits Labels — Wet-strength and textured stocks, foil, emboss and holographic positioning for chilled and iced service.
- Rigid Gift Boxes — Single and multi-bottle presentation sets with fitted cradles, festival editions and annual programmes.
- Paper Tubes — Single-material cylinder packs for one bottle — lighter than a rigid box, recyclable whole.
- Anti-Counterfeit Labels — Holographic positioning, tamper-evident seals and serialised codes for brand protection.
- Paper Carrier Bags — Bottle carriers with reinforced bases, matched to the box and label.
- Export Cases — Printed shipping cases specified for stacking and container transit.
What a bottle programme usually needs
Front, Back & Neck Labels
Specified as a matched set on one substrate family and adhesive so the whole bottle performs and ages consistently.
Presentation & Gift Boxes
Rigid boxes with fitted cradles for single and multi-bottle sets — the format the gift tier of your range lives in.
Bottle Tubes
Paper-based cylinder packs as a lighter alternative to a rigid box for a single bottle; ends, liners and inserts follow the product brief.
Multi-Bottle Carriers & Gift Packs
Carriers for retail promotions and travel-retail, where the pack has to be carried as well as displayed.
Carrier Bags
Bottle-sized paper bags with reinforced bases, matched to the box and label in one colour standard.
Neck Tags & Bands
Printed tags, bands and certificates for limited editions — a new edition without retooling the pack.
Export Shipping Cases
Printed corrugated cases specified against stacking and container transit rather than shelf appearance.

What to get right in this sector
Service conditions before aesthetics
Chilled, iced, humid or ambient decides the face stock and adhesive. A label approved on a flat proof has proved nothing about an ice bucket.
Bottle geometry
Curvature and shoulder radius drive die shape and adhesive choice. Neck labels sit on the tightest radius and fail first.
Anti-counterfeiting layers
One feature consumers can check, one your distributors can verify. Layering beats any single feature.
Festival lead times
Mid-Autumn, Spring Festival and Christmas land on fixed dates. Sampling in 5–7 days and production in 15–30 working days set the latest safe start.
Component consistency
Label, box, bag and case made together against one Pantone reference — the alternative is four vendors interpreting the brand colour separately.
Specifications
| Typical minimums | Labels from 1,000 units; premium gift boxes and carrier bags 500–1,000 units |

Terms for this specification
- Sampling
- Presentation-quality sample in 5–7 working days. The sample cost is credited against your first approved production order.
- Colour matching
- Pantone references and physical samples are used where the selected print process supports them. The approval method follows the substrate, artwork and process.
- Certifications
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001 and China Environmental Labelling (Ten-Ring). ISO 22000 applies to eligible food-contact work.
What drives the cost
We do not publish a price list, because no two specifications are alike. The levers that decide a quote are consistent, though.
Quantity
Most of the cost of a print job is set-up — plates, dies, make-ready, the first good sheet. Doubling a run rarely doubles the price, which is why it is worth asking for two or three volumes on the same quote.
Structure
A rigid box is formed, wrapped and often assembled by hand; a folding carton is die-cut and glued in one pass. Structure is usually the single biggest difference between two otherwise identical packs.
Material
Board grade and wrap stock. Specialty and textured papers cost more per sheet, but can replace a finishing pass — sometimes the cheaper route to the same effect.
Finishing passes
Each of foil, emboss, spot UV and lamination is a separate pass through a machine. Two effects cost roughly twice one, so the question is always which effect earns its place.
Tooling
Dies, emboss plates and foil blocks are one-off costs carried by the first order and reused on every repeat. Repeat runs of an approved specification are materially cheaper than the first.
Design & artwork
From an artwork check, through a dimensioned dieline and print-ready files, to a full concept package across a range — done by the factory that will make it.
Applications

Frequently asked questions
Can you handle the whole bottle programme, not just the label?
Yes — label, presentation box, carrier bag, neck tag and export case are all made here. That is the main reason brands consolidate this category with one supplier: one Pantone reference and one approval trail instead of four vendors reconciling colour by email.
When do we need to start a Mid-Autumn or festival programme?
Work backwards from the on-shelf date: sampling takes 5–7 working days and may iterate, complex gift boxes need 25–30 working days in production, then add sea freight. Festival work also competes for capacity across the whole industry, so earlier confirmation buys you options, not just time.
Will our labels survive chilled and ice-bucket service?
That is a substrate and adhesive decision made before printing. Wet-strength papers and film face stocks are specified for those conditions — and we recommend testing the sample under your own service conditions before approving the specification, because the ice bucket is the real test, not the proof.
